Slovenian Heritage: Take a Hike Summer Series Tour

On a fascinating journey through Slovenian heritage in the St. Clair Superior neighborhood, your tour begins at the historic St. Vitus Church, a symbol of Slovenian faith and community. Also learn about St. Vitus Village, Saint Martin de Porres High School, local businesses, current and past, and their connections to the neighborhood and community.

Walk through the Slovenian National Home, a cultural cornerstone that has long served as a gathering place for the Slovenian community and the Slovenian Museum & Archives, where exhibits showcase traditions, art, and the immigrant experience. Along the way, you'll also discover the significant contributions Slovenian people have made to the city of Cleveland, from shaping its culture and economy to enriching its diverse community.

Guests can park in the lot behind the Slovenian Home and walk to St. Vitus, 6019 Lausche Avenue, where we'll meet at the front entrance.

Add to your tour experience with: Post-Tour Extras – $25 ticket includes:

• 2026 Membership to the Club Room at the Slovenian National Home
• One drink ticket to enjoy in the Club Room after your tour
• Invitation to return Thursday, August 6th, 6:30–8 PM for an extended tour the full Slovenian National Home complex, including the Diemer Mansion, Club Room, Main Hall, Slovenian Museum & Archives, and Reading Room — plus light refreshments.

This Take a Hike® Stroll is made possible through a partnership with the Slovenian Museum & Archives (Slovenski muzej in arhiv) and Slovenian National Home.

Guests should park in the lot behind the Slovenian National Home 6417 St. Clair Avenue and walk to St. Vitus Church, 6019 Lausche Avenue, where the tour will meet up.

RESERVATIONS are requested but not required, walk-ups the day of tour are welcomed.
