If you’re a fan of pro-core and over-produced hype-rock you probably should avoid listening to their lastest album. Doppelganger is a soundtrack for punks, for misfits, for moshers and for the reckless. It’s aggression and it’s desperation at once. When SLON arose from the mud of the Rhine delta in 2018, they brought an outstanding sound to the German Hardcore-Punk scene. Seven years later, this sound became mature. It’s the result of a fist-fight between egos and friends, between love and pessimism, between the hopelessness of 80’s Deutschpunk and the violence of early Boston Hardcore. SLON’s debut LP makes you wanna punch a stranger on the street in the face. It’s nihilistic at it’s best. But still, it gives you the feeling of not being totally lost in the hectic of this world. A feeling of belonging and not completely losing your sanity in the madness of modernity. It’s not more and not less than another milestone for the ongoing Deutschhardcore takeover. Doppelganger wants you to move your lazy ass to its ruthless beat, slam-dance to its admitted breakdowns and go berserk to its powerful fast-parts. The band put a lot of effort with an outstanding attention to detail in this LP and the result is something to behold. The record is much more than just another piece of punk. (Daniel Destroi)

PRESSURE PACT (nl)
An unrefined slab of Neanderthal primitive hardcore, taking in BOSTON STRANGLER and NEGATIVE FX-style hardcore and a hint of NABAT-style European Oi!, which grabs you by yer throat and refuses to let go. Unrefined, atavistic troglodyte hop for the close-cropped creepy-crawlers of the world. It’s claustrophobic and violent, with drums being beaten as if they owe someone money. If you want complexity, read a book. If you want your head smashed in by some absolutely belting hardcore then give this a go.

CHEMICAL THREAT (de)
For most of the lovers of the genre, this will ring a bell. This is, indeed, a reference towards 86 Mentality. This can only mean one thing: extreme raw, and brainless hardcore with a skinhead attitude. Chemical Threat is a fairly new band, but is claiming grounds at a very fast pace. Go listen their demo!

LISTED (be)
About time that youngsters are taking over the torch. This bunch aren’t in their 20’s yet but definately know which way they want to go. If Mindwar & Instructor had a lovebaby: this would be it. You better watch out because this bunch is about to hit hard and you will not be able to ignore it.
