Slip Casting Basics W/ David Edwards

Would you like to be able to duplicate forms precisely, or make repeatable decorations to apply to your work? David Edwards, our instructor and mold making expert is sharing an introduction to plaster mold making of simple forms to be used for press molds or slip casting. We will not only make the molds, but David will give a talk on how to slip cast like a pro. You’ll leave with your mold the same day and it will be ready to use within a week or two after fully curing.
All skill levels welcome.
All materials provided, just bring a object mug size or smaller to make a slip casting mold from and a smaller object to make a press mold for repeating textural patterns or sculpts on your work. (Think low relief decorative objects) Please contact David at the studio if you have specific questions about what items might be best.
