Sleeper Cell & Uncomfortable Beats present Taso (Hyperdub/Teklife - USA/GRC) Co-founding Teklife member, veteran producer Taso’s numerous contributions to the late DJ Rashad’s seminal “Double Cup” LP (Hyperdub, 2013) alongside 2014’s critically acclaimed “Teklife Till Tha Next Life Vol.1” cemented his legacy in the Footwork world, building a foundation for innumerable iconic releases on Stones Throw, Atlantic, Columbia, Hyperdub, 1985 Music, Tempa, Exit and Deep Medi Musik and collaborations in the genre with heavyweights such as DJ Spinn, Machinedrum, Alix Perez, G Jones, Nick Hook, Siete Catorce, CESRV, Aotearoa’s Truth & Chicago’s Treated Crew (which includes Kanye West’s DJ Mano & Mic Terror) amongst countless others.
Taso’s versatility both on-stage and off has proven him to be a industry powerhouse, from beat placements with Young Thug, Future, G Herbo, Snoop Dogg, Dam-Funk, Southside, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana (RIP) & Hannibal Buress to studio work on Chika’s album featuring Freddie Gibbs and the one and only Stevie Wonder, alongside handling all Dolby Atmos mix and mastering duties for Machinedrum alias Tstewart’s “Elysian” (Universal/Mercury, 2023) in the very same year.
