Are you looking for the perfect Summer holiday activity? The Sledmere Play Barn is here, and we can’t wait to welcome you!
Designed for children aged 2 to 8 years, the Sledmere Play Barn offers 90 minutes of imaginative indoor fun, with three sessions available each day throughout the Summer.
Based in the Barn at Sledmere, little ones can safely explore, create and play their way through a variety of exciting activities designed to encourage sensory play, roleplay and imaginative ideas and adventures.
Inside the Barn you’ll find: Sand, Duplo and Train Tables, a Tractor and Bale course, 4 different Roleplay areas, a Library corner, Colouring Table plus many more fun games and activities.
The Coach House Café and Sledmere Farm Shop will be open serving delicious food and refreshments. Anything purchased from either can be enjoyed inside the Play Barn.
Parental supervision is required at all times, and we have a buggy park available.
Whether you’re escaping the heat or avoiding a rainy day, the Sledmere Play Barn is the perfect place for little imaginations to run wild this Summer!
Sessions: 9.30am - 11am, 11.30am - 1pm, and 2pm - 3.30pm.

We are taking part in the Great British Summer Savings Scheme, in line with the government's VAT cuts, and therefore our prices are reduced throughout the Summer!
Adult: £6.00 - now only £5.25
Child: £12.00 - now only £10.50
Under 1: FREE
Season Ticket Adult or Sledmere Friend 25 Adult (with valid membership card): £5.15 - now only £4.50
Season Ticket Child or Sledmere Friend 25 Child (with valid membership card): £10.85 - now only £9.50
Please note there are limited spaces available on each session, so we recommend booking in advance.
Why not burn some energy this Summer and also get a ticket for the Parkland and Gardens, where we have a nature trail and lawn games to take part in. Or enjoy our outdoor Adventure Playground and Farm area for free, after the Play Barn. Delicious scooped ice cream will also be available in the afternoon.
We offer free parking, and dogs on leads are also welcome in the outdoor areas at Sledmere and the Farm Shop.
