Wombo
Post-punk wunderkinds Wombo has been masterminding psychedelic fairy tales since 2016. Their sophomore album Fairy Rust garnered praise from Pitchfork and UPROXX with a spellbinding fusion of folkloric lyricism and artful distortion. The title track of the band’s latest EP Slab evokes a moody dance floor scored by a funky bass line and scratchy string blasts.

Sunforger
Precise intensity begins to describe Sunforger's grungey stylings. Every stop-start riff and tense drum hit on the band’s self-titled debut LP — which dropped last year and was supported with a North American tour — is calculated for maximum effect delivering tight blasts of existential anguish. It’s post-punk, post-grunge, post-hardcore, post-everything, and totally refreshing.

Neighbourly
Islander indie-psych outfit Neighbourly are reinventing themselves in 2024, and you’re invited for the ride. First, the band dropped Outside 311, a blistering 4-track EP that layered the band’s funky sensibilities overtop of energetic post-punk. Next up is Alla Discoteca, a promised exploration of Italo disco led by the irresistibly groovy single “Rana Toro.”

Sunglaciers
Psych-pop quartet Sunglaciers lives up to its name with a compelling blend of sunny indie rock and icy post-punk The band has refined its sound across various international tours and memorable festival appearances. Lead single “Cursed” is the otherworldly warning shot for Regular Nature, the group’s third full-length album.
