feeble little horse
Few things in life are as fun as jamming with your friends. feeble little horse embodies this joy, both in their creative process and in the scrappy indie rock sounds they generate.
Born in the creative ooze of Pittsburgh’s DIY scene, feeble little horse was formed in early 2021 by Sebastian Kinsler and Ryan Walchonski, who quickly added Jake Kelley to the fold during the recording of their first EP, ‘21s modern tourism. It was later that year that the group recorded debut full length Hayday, and were joined by Lydia Slocum, who had also helped with the album’s artwork. With a lineup and a record in place, feeble little horse was set to make some waves.
Clocking in at just over 20 minutes long, Hayday presents a catchy take on noise rock that feels both thrashable and boppable, and was described by Pitchfork as a “balance in melodic pop structures and an unflinchingly sardonic perspective.” Buoyed by the reputation of their basement-show-honed live show, feeble little horse quickly signed on with Saddle Creek Records (Big Thief, Bright Eyes) and mutated from scene sweethearts to upcomers on the national indie music stage.
In 2023, the band released their follow-up album, Girl with Fish, expanding their sound galaxy-wide with shoegaze sound walls and distorted freak-outs anchored with irresistible melodies. It made many “best of 2023” album lists, and was supported by a three-week U.S tour.
After a brief hiatus and the departure of Walchonski from the band, feeble little horse are back in action with last year’s single “This Is Real,” a blast of noisy indie refreshment that even verges on nu-metal at points. It’s as unpredictable as the band themselves, and the perfect way to prep for their first ever appearance at Sled Island.

Fanclubwallet
The indie rock project of cartoonist-turned-musician Hannah Judge, Fanclubwallet started as a solo bedroom pop project and has since flourished into a beaming four-piece that has graced stages across Canada and the US. Now with her second LP Living While Dying under her belt, Hannah continues to blend infectious songwriting with a genuine love for her community and craft.

Clothesline From Hell
The indie rock project from singer-songwriter Adam Laframboise, Clothesline From Hell was born from collapse after the fleeting success of his 2024 breakout single “Open Up!” Now in 2026, his debut album, Slather On The Honey, showcases his ever-evolving sound. Intimacy collides with distortion, songs pivot midstream, tempos shift without warning, and choruses surface once before vanishing.

Kingdom of Birds
A grunge-punk three-piece formed in high school, Kingdom of Birds continue to rise five years after their fiery creation, having played over 100 shows, including opening slots for Maruja, Deerhoof, Cumgirl8 and Partner. Released this past February, their latest album, Vermin, finds the trio further spreading their wings, flaunting eight catchy tunes that demand your attention.

Shunk
Blending post-punk, dream pop, shoegaze, indie and more to form their own specific sonic palette, Shunk’s eccentric and electrifying live performances reflect Montreal’s boundary-pushing music scene. Vocalist Gabrielle Colette can embody multiple personas physically and vocally, ranging from opera to hardcore. This is all grounded by a honed rhythm section, and shimmering, synth-inspired guitar parts.

sadbirthdays
Led by Tsuut’ina/Amskapi Piikani/Cree multidisciplinary artist Seth Cardinal Dodginghorse, sadbirthdays (formerly known as soft cure) is an experimental project that blends alternative/indie rock, slowcore, grunge and shoegaze into a genre self-described as “pastel wave.” 2026 will see the release of their new album, catholic ladders, which was recorded in the residential schools that Seth’s grandfather attended.

Jed Arbour
A self-described “queer, cathartic, post-rock listening adventure,” Jed Arbour shares a generous amount of themselves via their music, making listeners feel unsettled, understood, and self-reflective. A deeply honest and captivating experience, their music offers a wide range of textures to encompass most moods and worm its way into most eardrums.
