How these colors were chosen: Indigo is a mix of red and blue, which can create a harmonious hue that leads to spiritual clarity and inner wisdom. Indigo plants are natural sources of blue dye used in art and textiles across civilizations, and was a prominent feature of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.
Red is the color of blood, and has historically been associated with courage, passion, love, and joy.
