Skylit Moon is a band based in Vienna, founded by jazz-pianist and composer Bálint Banyó. Their music is essentially a merge of experimental rock and contemporary jazz, inspired by artists such as David Bowie, Radiohead, Genesis, Brad Mehldau, Aaron Parks and Esperanza Spalding.
The band’s repertoire consists mainly of Bálint’s original compositions and a couple of cover arrangements. Based on pop/rock song formats intertwined with jazz harmonies and atmospheric lyrics, the pieces branch out into complex instrumental arrangements and adventurous improvisation.
Their first single is going to be released in November 2025, followed by the debut concert in Kramladen.

While the debut album feets, released in May 2025, continues to raise the roof, the Vienna-based band around Sebastian Elias Weiss is still tirelessly on an artistic journey with the clear goal of “moving forward”.
The four charismatic musicians feel welded together like the rails of a steam locomotive thanks to their busy together concert schedule, which can be clearly heard and felt in their interactive and energetic interplay.
"I would describe my music as Indie Pop-Trip Hop Jazz. The sound aesthetics and composition forms are inspired by artists such as Björk, Radiohead, Fever Ray and Aphex Twin. And yet we play them with the spontaneity and playfulness known from jazz formations such as the John Coltrane Quartet or the Sun Ra Arkestra.
Our latest work, Sailor Suite, inspired by cinematography in the style of Maya Deren and David Lynch, incorporates performative elements into our playing. The conceptualization could almost be reminiscent of Schubert's Winterreise or Pink Floyd's The Wall.
