About this Event

Join us for this Beginner's Urban Birding Walk to nearby Mt. Vernon Place and the Washington Monument led by experts from the Baltimore Bird Club. During this two-hour program, participants will partake in an easy walk of 1/2 to 2 miles on level ground. Participants will learn the basics of urban bird watching, tips and tricks for spotting the wonderful species that are all around us, and enjoy communing with the natural settings local to our neighborhood branches. Sighting beautiful and colorful spring migrants is possible. After the walk, partons will enjoy light refreshments while debriefing about their experiences and learning from experts how to prepare for their next adventures in birding.

Attendees should prepare for walking for the first half of this program, as well as being out in the elements - birds love all kinds of weather, so this event will be rain or shine.

All items required for participation will be provided.

Note: This walk is ADA-accessible.
