About this Event
This field trip is for Heartland Charter School students and their families.
We will be learning about transportation by taking a tour of a glider airport! Students will have the opportunity to learn about airplanes, glider planes and how a glider airport operates. They will be able to walk around a few glider planes and observe how they work.
We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.
Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student.
**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**
*Masks will be required for all indoor field trips per California state guidelines.

Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them.
Can I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE!
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Due to limited space only one chaperone ticket per family will be allowed.
What are the check-in procedures? Check in with Mrs. Maino at the front of the building at 10:20.
Is there on-site parking available? Yes.
Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No. However, there is a deli on location called the Raven's Nest and everyone is welcome to purchase lunch (with their own money) after the tour.
Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
