About this Event

Skydiving

What an incredible rush!

Dates Available: 4th April, 24th July

(Please search our other events for alternative dates)

Where: Hibaldstow, Lincolnshire

Whether you want to conquer your fears, give an adrenaline-boosting gift or make a memory to last a lifetime, a 15,000ft skydive could be just what you’re looking for!

Strapped to your instructor, you’ll jump out of a plane at 15,000ft, then freefall for over a minute before your parachute opens and you sail over the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and down to the ground below.

Deposit: £59 Sponsorship pledge: £500

Please note each skydive costs the hospice £249.

For sponsorship funded spaces you must have raised enough to cover the cost to skydive by the time the skydive takes place or you risk your skydive being postponed or cancelled.

Self-funded fee: £249 Sponsorship Pledge: £225

Alternatively you can self fund and pay for the skydive in total meaning all the money you raise goes directly to the Hospice.

What to expect on the day

During a group briefing, your Tandem Instructor will explain everything you need to know about your skydiving experience and you can ask as many questions as you like.

Your instructor will kit you in a jumpsuit and special dual harness when its your time to jump. You will also be given headgear and goggles.

Once you have boarded the aircraft, it takes less than 15 minutes to reach skydiving altitude and you’ll be 3 miles above the dropzone.

After leaping from the open door you’ll experience up to one minute of freefall.

The instructor opens your parachute at around 5,000ft and you then enjoy around 5 minutes under canopy taking in the spectacular views of the Lincolnshire Wolds before landing back on the dropzone.

The spectator area is not far away, so you can head back to see your friends and family before you instructor helps you out of your kit.

Before you leave, you will be presented with a Tandem Jump certificate to prove you were brave enough to skydive.

If you booked our video and photo package, then this will be ready either shortly after you land, or during busy times we may post it on to you.

Your skydiving experience ideally takes only a few hours and we book staggered arrival times in order to reduce waiting times as much as possible.

Normally on a weekend you should expect to be with Skydive Hibaldstow for 4-5 hours. However, we cannot account for weather or other delays so please do not be in a rush and allow yourself the whole day to enjoy this unique experience.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on the airfield (except guide dogs) under any circumstances so please do not bring them with you.

Weight restrictions

Please note Skydive Hibaldstow charge a £15 surcharge above a certain weight.

Up to 95kg (approx. 15st) is covered by the sign-up fee.

Above 95kg up to 100kg (approx 16 st) a £15 charge is payable at the skydive centre.

Above 100kg you cannot jump.

I n addition to overall weight, BMI can affect your ability to jump. Skydive Hibaldstow regret that those with a BMI of 39+ are not suitable. Those with a BMI of 35+ will be subject to assessment. The skydive centre are happy to talk through and give further explanations on this matter.

A nyone under 44kg (approx 7st) and/or under 147cm (approx 4ft10) should arrive 15 minutes early for a harness fitting.
