DJ: skycat (Jesse Manuel)
Originally from San Francisco, skycat got his start in the world of vinyl records. Vinyl naturally lends itself to maintaining a close connection with warm and soulful sounds. Through the years, skycat became enchanted with the look on dancers’ faces when just the right song hits at just the right time. Now in the digital realm as a DJ and producer, skycat brings a wide swatch of sonic threads to support dance floors as they stitch together a mandala of motion.
The music skycat plays reflects a deep reverence for busking culture as well as being inspired by producers that share a love for syncopated rhythms and unique baselines. A dancer at heart, skycat’s sets will traverse twinkling lows and toe hopping highs. Skycat’s song selection is intersectional - the sets are both thumping and peaceful; they have moments of reflective groundedness along with periods of extroverted levity; they explore the tension between divine harmonics and divine dissonance. The vibrational undercurrent is release. Above all else, skycat’s sets are crafted for sated joy.

Contact Improv: Shira Yaziv
Shira Yaziv is a dancer, teacher, bodyworker, and facilitator. She enjoys encouraging people to be in their bodies while learning new skills, being creative, listening and adapting to the changing present moment. Shira is the co-founder and owner of Athletic Playground, a dynamic indoor space, inspiring physical play through a wide variety of movement classes.
Yoga: Shakti Ganeshan
Sumati Shakthi Ganeshan, MD, MPH, doctor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, trained at Baylor College of Medicine. She also has a Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She has been exploring health and the body since she was a child. She learned Indian Classical dance, Bharatha Natyam from the age of 9. Her father and brother both were carnatic Indian music vocalists. Shakthi experienced a childhood of ancestral Indian temple culture, Indian classical music training, including bhajans and vedic chants. She began her studies of yoga in 1997.
After years serving her patients in the fields of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, she turned her life to the study, practice and teaching of yoga. She has studied in both the Astanga and Iyengar traditions, and has been teaching since 2001. Shakthi has studied with Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Sarah Powers, and more recently with Timothy Lynch. She has taken thousands of hours of in-depth yoga trainings, and has delivered thousands of hours of yoga classes, trainings, immersions, and retreats.
She is absolutely humbled by what she does not know, loves relating with students, loves being curious and adores being open to the unfolding.
Circle & Meditation: Shannon Sahaja
Two decades of holding space for yoga, meditation, and multiple forms of dance. Shannon offers exquisite meditations while creating impeccable sacred space. Participants often reflect on how incredibly safe they feel in her field. www.shannonsahaja.com
