About this Event

Funky, Punky and Intergalactic: Skunk Funk traveled from the dystopian planet of Esoterra only to crash land onto a small suburb in American Canyon, CA. In orbit or on Earth, it is their sole mission to bring every crowd they woo an animated yet uplifting and off the wall experience. A spellbinding fusion of Punk/Funk/Ska is their medium of choice in their battle against degradation and lameness. There is 4 distinct pieces to this blue print, it didn't happen by accident. Presently, the four manifest a sound so distinctive and high energy; they are a hot commodity anywhere they go. Over the course of the last 4 years, they have managed to independently release an EP entitled “Too Fresh to Function” and a full-length album entitled “Possession 4 Sale”. Most recently, they have released they're best work yet through their 2018 "Cirque Du Skank" EP, which also comes with music video. Their latest new full-length album, "Skunk Soup", was served up 1/23/2021. Their most recent single "Mandatory Vacation," is a testament to the tenacity of pandemic life and how we all deserve a mandatory vacation.

The Weird Kids is a Rock n' Roll group from Portland, Oregon. The band members come from eclectic musical backgrounds, which provides a rich sound encompassing many genres. A focus on clever, relatable lyrics continues to be a cornerstone in the writing process. Drummer Josh Chouinard and vocalist Nick Roberts founded the group in late 2016 - guitarist Adam Brooker came on board in 2017, and bassist Isaac DeRosa came aboard in 2018. In 2022, the band saw its final 2 pieces come into the band with Hannah DiMo and Marvin Oceguara joining.

The Weird Kids can most frequently be classified as an alternative rock group, but influences from hard rock, indie, reggae, jazz, and funk continue to shape a new subset within the genre.

6 Speed Supernova (6SS) is a four-piece, Northern California based band whose sound origins stem from rock, funk, jazz and alternative influences. The band’s single ‘BOOM’ was chosen by Classic Rock Magazine for their BEST OF THE YEAR, SO FAR, 2019 compilation. 6SS opened up for Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses at the esteemed Whisky-a-Go-Go in Hollywood, CA. Their 2019 EP, ALL ABOARD THE LIGHT RAIL was well received by fans and critics alike. The band’s full length album, GALACTIC BOOGALOO is tentatively set to be released in the fall of of 2022.

Guitarist David Ballon hails from a profound career in the music scene playing with numerous acts. David’s sister Marie Gutierrez, who has fronted both cover and original local NorCal bands sings lead for 6SS. Joan Torres hails from Puerto Rico and is a bassist/composer on the forefront of progressive jazz. Drummer Brittany Patterson studied Jazz at San Francisco State University and has played with a number of local jazz and punk bands over the years. It is said that music in the soul can be heard by the universe. 6 Speed Supernova’s galactic compositions will expand your mind, tug on your heart and throw you tumbling into the cosmos. ?
