SKETCHES: Write, Direct, Edit with Chris Dudley & Kate Hammer

From the beginning of an idea to filming, cutting it together, and publishing, this workshop will walk you through how to step into creating your own sketches from scratch. We will cover ideation, types of sketches, endings, how to write them, filming with quality sound, and editing on various apps/programs.
This is a hands-on workshop that will not only leave you with information and inspiration, but with experience in filming, editing, and creating your own sketches so you can feel confident getting started.
Kate has directed 5 short films and 7 BBC Comedy Short Stuff sketches, alongside countless online content for herself and others. Kate works with Chris, who specialises in editing, colour grading, and sound for the projects, and who has also written and directed short films and sketches. Together they are a fountain of knowledge and want to help you make your funny stuff shareable to the world.
The session will take place in the SNUG area of The Social Hub Glasgow, at the back of their ground floor bar area. The Social Hub has level access throughout and accessible toilets are available.
Early bird tickets are available until 30th March, with limited Pay What You Want tickets available until the 10th April, or until sell-out.
