Luismi Segurado Trio albums, on the renowned label Fresh Sound Records particularly stand out:
Tritones y Serendipia (2017), Hocicology. Feat. Jorge Rossy (2019) and Elfrieda (2023) the trio’s last album, inspired by the figure of Mary Lou Williams. This great woman (whose birth name was Mary Elfrieda Scruggs) was a magnificent pianist that I discovered many years ago. I’ve loved her ever since. She has the Blues, a lot of Jazz tradition and also a Free touch that makes it so attractive.
Segurado, pianist from Salamanca, leader of the trio, is currently one of the most active musicians on the Catalan scene.

Luismi Segurado, pianist, throughout his career has shared the stage with great musicians from both the international and national scenes, such as Jorge Rossy, Masa Kamaguchi, Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy), Chris Kase, Ramón Cardo, and Andrzej Olejniczak, among others. Additionally, he has received masterclasses from prominent musicians like Barry Harris, Jerry Bergonzi, and Gerald Clayton.
His trio albums (Luismi Segurado Trío) as a leader with the renowned record label Fresh Sound Records stand out: Tritones y Serendipia (2017), Hocicology featuring
Jorge Rossy (2019), and Elfrieda featuring Masa Kamaguchi & Santi Colomer
(2023). As a quintet leader, he released Bud in Green by Luismi Segurado Quintet
(The Changes, 2024). As a sideman, he has participated in recording sessions for
various national artists, such as the recent album Venga que sí by Trezz (Errabal Jazz, 2023).
Currently, he is one of the most active musicians on the Catalan scene, a role he combines with his teaching work at Taller de Músics.

Sidney Werner was born in Berlin in 1993. He studied upright bass at
the Jazz-Institute in Berlin with Greg Cohen and Marc Muellbauer.
Over the years he has become a sought after sideman in a variety of musical styles, from jazz to
accompanying singer songwriters, to more experimental endeavours, always providing a strong
foundation and an individual sense of sensitivity to the given musical context.
He has played and toured extensively with projects such as "Far East Trio", Chris Dahlgren’s
"Dhalgren", “Natalie Greffel", "Hund und Hybris", and was the backbone of the "Omniversal
Earkestra" for 6 years, playing every Monday in various clubs in Berlin.
He has recently focused more on recording bass experiments, his solo project "Billy the
Mountain", and his noise/experimental Duo "Wirecutter" with Michael Hoppe, whose debut "little
faith" (Boomslang records) releases on February 24th 2023. ".

Aarón Castrillo (1990, Sevilla, Spanien) ist ein Schlagzeuger, der in Berlin lebt.
Er ist hauptsächlich ein moderner Jazzmusiker, der sich auch mit Neo-Soul,
Lo-Fi Beats, R&B und Popmusik beschäftigt. Er ist an verschiedenen Projekten
als Sideman und Co-Leader auf der internationalen Bühne beteiligt.
Aarón erhält 2016 seinen Bachelor-Abschluss in Jazz-Schlagzeug an
der Musikhochschule "Musikene" im Baskenland, wo er mit dem Lehrer
und Schlagzeuger Jo Krause studiert hat. Im Jahr 2018 schließt er das
EUJAM-Studium (European Jazz Master) ab, mit dem er die
Gelegenheit hatte an verschiedenen bekannten Konservatorien wie
dem Conservatorium van Amsterdam, dem Rytmisk
Musikkonservatorium in Kopenhagen und dem Jazz-Institut in Berlin
sich weiter auszubilden.

Zum elften Mal wird mit einem eigenen Berliner Festival der Reichtum des europäischen Jazz mit seinen
unterschiedlichen Wurzeln, Dialekten und neuen Entwicklungen vorgestellt. Neben den wunderbaren 31 Musikern
aus 16 europäischen Ländern veranstalten in diesem Jahr 10 europäische Kulturinstitute und Botschaften der
Gemeinschaft der europäischen Kulturinstitute EUNIC Berlin das Festival. Jede einzelne Band präsentiert
dabei eigene Kompositionen und interpretiert bekannte Stücke aus ihrem jeweiligen Land neu oder in
freier Improvisation. Darüber hinaus werden die Künstler ihre musikalische Herkunft aber auch auf
neue Art miteinander verbinden, wenn jeden Abend Musiker verschiedener Kulturen direkt aufeinandertreffen.
