SJO presents The Wendy Pedersen Quintet featuring Pianist Jim Gasior!

The Sunshine Jazz 36th Concert Season is elated to present The Wendy Pedersen Quintet! Jazz vocalist Wendy Pedersen, featuring pianist Jim Gasior, have been enduring personalities in the South Florida music scene, each widely known for their passionate commitment to a notable breadth of musical projects, both live and in the studio. Collectively, they have performed and/or recorded with many jazz and pop stars including Michael Bolton, Natalie Cole, Patti Austin, Smokey Robinson, James Brown, Little Richard, Arturo Sandoval, Benny Golson, Freddie Hubbard, Robin Eubanks, and countless others.

Wendy Pedersen is one of South Florida’s favorite performers. Her high-energy vocal delivery, with deep, convincing emotion has been impacting audiences for many years. Pianist and beloved educator Jim Gasior was recently inducted into the South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame and, along with phenomenal bassist Nicky Orta, these musicians are among the finest talents anywhere! Wendy Pederson's Quintet plays jazz and blues with spontaneity and soul and with a deep respect for the Great American Songbook, with fresh arrangements and performances filled with freedom and joy.

Join us in The Sandrell Rivers Black Box Theater, with excellent acoustics and plenty of room for good stage sight.
