About this Event
The San José Fire Department is holding a FREE Women’s Boot Camp for adults in the community who are interested in exploring a career in the fire service! This boot camp is geared towards women in the San José area who are looking to make a positive change in their career. This female-staffed, judgement-free workout and information session will answer all your questions about careers for women in the fire service.
The event will include:
- 90-minute circuit training workout
- SJFD’s female firefighters sharing their personal experiences in the fire service
- Q&A session with the women of SJFD
- Demos featuring actual firefighting tools and equipment
Registration will open on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.
This free event is open to adults ages 18 years or older, and is limited to 60 participants. Registration is required. Once all spots are filled, you will have the option to be placed on the waitlist and will be notified if space becomes available.
Note to Past Participants: If you attended the 2019/2020 SJFD Women’s Boot Camp, we respectfully request you postpone registering until the waitlist is open. Due to the high demand for this event, we would like new participants to have priority registration. Thank you for your understanding.
REFRESHMENTS: Water, coffee and snacks will be provided.
ATTIRE: Participants should wear comfortable athletic apparel and proper shoes.
IMPORTANT: On the day of the event, ALL participants will be REQUIRED to complete a Waiver of Liability Form and a Photo/Video Release Form in order to participate in the day’s events.
