About this Event

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Course Description & Objectives:

Handwriting Program (SMHP), offering practical, "use-tomorrow" tools to improve legibility and classroom participation. The Size Matters Handwriting Program is the first handwriting instructional program that is fully embeddable, measurable and proven. It is easy to learn, implement and collect data. SMHP is a strong partner in Response to Intervention, a valued companion to core curriculum already rich with content, and bottom line… affordable. Using research and evidence, participants will identify practical strategies, differentiate and summarize accommodations for students with learning or sensory needs, and reference data collection.

At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain and compare the research and evidence supporting handwriting and SMHP
  • List and describe Key Concepts
  • Identify and discuss practical strategies for teaching handwriting and using SMHP in various educational/treatment models
  • Discuss accommodations for students with learning or sensory needs
  • Reference data collection and explain scoring for size/space
