Sixth Annual Great Cities Symposium

The Great Cities Symposium returns February 5, 2026 with speaker Victor Dover, a nationally acclaimed leader in city, neighbhorood and street design.

Presented by Gateway Jax, the Symposium is an annual civic event that supports Scenic Jacksonville's mission to inform and facilitate community conversations about how Jacksonville can learn from peer cities' successes and challenges.

Dover is principal-in-charge and co-founder of Dover, Kohl & Partners, where he leads groundbreaking efforts in creating beautiful, enduring places and spaces. Blending design excellence with professional pragmatism, his work spans five continents and has helped shape iconic neighborhoods, streets, and city centers that prioritize livability and quality of life.

The event is held at the beautiful settting of the.Garden Club of Jacksonville, and includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres from Biscottis and social time with civic leaders and engaged citizens.
