The 30th anniversary of the Sitka Art Invitational marks three decades of artistic excellence and community engagement. The exhibition will feature a diverse array of artwork from 100+ artists spanning various mediums, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and more. The display and sale of 300 works of art promises to be a spectacular fusion of past traditions and new horizons. The three-day celebration will include 4 live musical performances by Northwest musicians, from lyrical piano compositions to medieval music to upbeat jazz. Furthermore, attendees will have the chance to engage directly with artists through a series of artist conversations. At select times, artists will be available for questions and share the process and inspiration behind the artwork. A schedule of musical performances and artist conversations will be posted on the Sitka Center website, in the Sitka September newsletter and on Sitka’s social media platforms.
Oregon Contemporary is in the dynamic Kenton neighborhood in North Portland, a creative hub of local galleries, shops and restaurants. There is plenty of on-street parking in the area and conveniently, the MAX Yellow Line, Kenton stop is immediately across the street from the venue.
