About this Event
Sitar Is For Lovers: A Valentine's Day Retreat
This Valentine’s Day, you’re invited into an evening devoted to presence, intimacy, and the art of slowing down.
Sitar Is For Lovers is a warm, embodied retreat designed for singles, couples, and friends - anyone longing to feel more connected to themselves and to others.
You can come alone, with friends or a romantic partner.
This is a lovingly held space that we will co-create as a community, where we will cultivate deep nervous system relaxation, heart opening through a homemade cacao Love Potion, and sacred connection with self and others.
The evening is co-created by Joyce Guan West, founder of Magic & Medicine (dating coaching, love strategy & conscious matchmaking), and Will Marsh, a professional sitar musician.
Joyce will guide us through a journey of various conscious, embodied practices to explore our individual and relational connection to love.
Will weaves live sitar throughout the night to amplify the potency of the practices. Sitar music is traditionally used to evoke deep emotion, devotion and spiritual connection. He will create a container to close the evening with a spacious, luxurious sitar sound bath.
Together, the practices and music create a field that is soothing, intimate, and deeply human.
Joyce and Will met at a music event and fell in love through their shared passion for music, being of service to others, and connection to the divine.
This evening also marks the soft launch of Magic & Medicine, Joyce's dating coaching, love strategy, and conscious matchmaking company. This is the inaugural signature event produced by Magic & Medicine ❤️ ✨
What This Evening Is

- A space to slow down and arrive fully in your body, spirit and mind

While the experience could feel sensual or tender at moments, the core intention is psychological safety, grounding, and authentic connection.
