Sitar Is For Lovers: A Midsummer's Night Celebration
About this Event
Summer has its own alchemy. Long days, warm skin, the feeling that something ripe and alive is right here - if you let yourself receive it.
Sitar Is For Lovers: A Midsummer's Night Celebration is a warm, embodied evening designed for singles, couples, and friends - anyone longing to feel more fully alive this season.
You can come alone, with a partner, or with friends.
This is a lovingly held space that we co-create as a community, where we will cultivate deep nervous system relaxation, heart opening, and sacred connection with self and others - all held by live sitar and tanpura throughout the night.
The evening is a journey through pleasure, desire, and presence. Not in an abstract way. In your body. In real time. With real people.
The theme is summer harvest: the invitation to stop deferring and actually receive the abundance, desire, and aliveness that is available right now.
Our events always sell out, so get it while it's hot. 🔥
The evening is co-created by Joyce Guan West, founder of Magic & Medicine (dating coaching, love strategy & conscious matchmaking), and Will Marsh, a professional sitar musician.
Joyce will guide us through a journey of various conscious, embodied practices to explore our individual and relational connection to love.
Will weaves live sitar throughout the night to amplify the potency of the practices. Sitar music is traditionally used to evoke deep emotion, devotion and spiritual connection. He will create a container to close the evening with an alchemical sitar and movement practice.
Together, the practices and music create a field that is soothing, intimate, and deeply human.
Joyce and Will met at a music event and fell in love through their shared passion for music, being of service to others, and connection to the divine.
The Sitar Is For Lovers event series is produced by Magic & Medicine, Joyce's dating coaching, love strategy, and conscious matchmaking company. ❤️ ✨
Joyce Guan West is the founder of Magic & Medicine, a dating coach, love strategist, and conscious matchmaker for conscious, embodied humans. She is also a somatic facilitator and mindfulness teacher who guides people into presence, connection, and the full range of relational experience.
Will Marsh is a professional sitar musician whose work draws from the devotional and meditative traditions of Hindustani classical music. Sitar is one of the oldest instruments for evoking longing, beauty, and the full spectrum of human feeling. When you hear it live in an intimate room with your body open, something shifts.
