Kooky Japanese underground institution SISTER PAUL come to Australia on a very brief visit. They blend early to mid-70s Bowie, T Rex, Roxy Music etc with Tokyo underground cool to produce an authentically original and catchy sound.The play a final FREE show at the NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB for Social Social with special supports Cold Regards & The Cars That Ate Paris.
So taken by Sister Paul were UK 70s proto punkers Doctors Of Madness that Sister Paul became their rhythm section for that band's reformation tour which included playing London's legendary punk venue, the 100 CLUB!
Cold Regards are Trans-Tasman, Naarm/Melbourne based, Coldwave duo. Moody Pop Casiotone with snappy guitar licks, in the realm of Icehouse
The Cars That Ate Paris are Naarm / Melbourne post punk love bugs, channeling sounds from the Seaview Scene with a nod to very early Go-Betweens, UK DIY indie etc
