Overflow Brewing Company is thrilled to present Sister Luck, Ottawa’s own tribute to the southern rock legends The Black Crowes, on June 27th, 2026.This newly formed band, though “long overdue,” is set to bring the gritty, soulful energy of The Black Crowes to the Overflow stage, recreating the rootsy southern-rock vibe that has made the Crowes’ music timeless. Sister Luck is a powerhouse lineup of talented Ottawa musicians who deliver the raw, soulful spirit of The Black Crowes like no other — bringing their songs to life with passion, precision, and electrifying performances.
Ottawa’s Dream Team of Musicians includes:
Frontman Shawn Tavenier embodies the essence of Chris Robinson, delivering powerhouse vocals, harmonica, and guitar work with undeniable authenticity. Shaun Casey and Chris Gagnon bring the signature southern-rock grit, weaving fiery guitar harmonies and slide-guitar textures that define The Crowes’ sound.
Holding down the rhythm section, Mike Hogg drives the beat with skillful precision, while Sunil Achia lays down deep, blues-infused bass grooves that keep every song tight and dynamic.
Adding soulful layers, Julian St. Martin infuses the music with bluesy organ and classic piano flourishes, while Rebecca Noel and Dee Dee Butters deliver soaring harmonies that capture the Crowes’ unmistakable vocal magic.
Expect to hear fan favourites like “She Talks to Angels,” “Remedy,” and “Hard to Handle,” as Sister Luck revives the electrifying live energy of The Black Crowes. This core group continues to build something special — and more surprises are on the way. Don’t be the one searching for tickets at the last minute — this show will sell out.
Opening the night are special guests The Rambles, a rock quartet making waves in Ottawa with their unique blend of blues, country, and classic-rock influences. Formed by long-time musical collaborators Braden Foulkes (guitar/vocals), Adam Traversy (keys/vocals), Brendan Hoffe (bass), and Bron Diedrich (drums), The Rambles have been honing their sound for over a decade, and their chemistry on stage is undeniable. With a recently released EP and standout performances — including an unforgettable set opening for The Tea Party at Bluesfest 2022 — The Rambles are the perfect way to kick off an unforgettable night in the Taproom.
This is a concert for anyone who craves soulful, powerful, and energetic rock music — don’t miss it.
