About this Event
For Women Only - Sip, Stretch, and Sign:
Restorative Yoga, Health-forward Tea Time, and celebrating mindfulness practices
Come join us for a day of relaxation and rejuvenation hosted by trusted realtor Kim Holloway at Long & Foster Navy Yard Washington, DC - Realty.
Welcome to Sip, Stretch, and Sign, a special event designed to wrap you in a warm embrace of peace, connection, and restoration as we prepare to step into the new year. Picture this: a beautifully curated, serene space in the heart of Washington, DC, adorned with soft lights, lush plants, and cozy seating areas that instantly invite you to exhale and leave your stress at the door. For three glorious hours, this space becomes your haven—a place where you can prioritize yourself and let go of everything that doesn’t serve your heart and soul.
Why This Event?
Let’s face it—2024 was a ride. The holidays? Always hectic. The new year? Barreling toward us like a freight train. Before you jump into the hustle and bustle of resolutions, meetings, and “new year, new you” chaos, let’s hit pause. This event is for women ready to set aside fear, disappointment, and uncertainty and instead focus on fortifying their hearts and spirits for the year ahead. This is not just another wellness event; it’s an intentional reset.
What’s on the Agenda?
Soul-Soothing Yoga
Let’s practice Restorative Yoga. If you’ve ever thought yoga required you to be a human pretzel, let me reassure you: that’s not this class. Restorative Yoga is about one thing—letting go. You’ll settle into gentle, fully supported poses that feel like a warm hug for your body and mind. With cozy props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks, you’ll experience the kind of relaxation that feels like melting into a cloud. Don’t worry about flexibility, strength, or experience—you could nap through this class and still get all the benefits.
Our practice will focus on heart-opening postures, inviting you to release tension and invite in feelings of openness and compassion. This is your time to breathe deeply, unwind completely, and let the world fade away for a little while. By the end, you’ll feel lighter, calmer, and more in tune with yourself than you have in ages.
Restorative CHAIR YOGA is available! Instead of a Yoga mat, bring an extra pillow, cushion, or bolster for your lap.
Warm Tea
What's better than a warm cup of something delicious? Not much, honestly. Enter tea: a soothing, nutrient-rich beverage often called "liquid tranquility." As you sip this heartwarming brew, you'll feel its comforting warmth spreading through your body, like a hug from the inside out.
But this isn’t your average tea—this is a thoughtfully curated selection of premium blends, known for their calming, invigorating, or meditative properties. From earthy, grounding flavors to bright, floral notes, each sip offers a sensory experience that leaves you feeling nourished and at peace. Whether you’re new to tea or a lifelong enthusiast, this mindful tea experience with a curated selection of teas selected by culinary creator and herbalist, Miss Melissa will be an experience to savor.
Mindful Moments
Every meaningful gathering needs a touch of inspiration, and that’s where the mindfulness book signing comes in. This isn’t just a quick autograph session; it’s a chance to engage in heartfelt conversations about growth, healing, and what it means to live mindfully in today’s world.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, exchange ideas, and maybe even discover a new perspective or two. Whether you’re here to dive deep into mindfulness practices or simply to soak in the atmosphere, these moments of connection are bound to leave you feeling uplifted.
The Extras You’ll Love
- Health-forward Refreshments: Because we believe in nourishing both the body and the soul, we’ll have a selection of delicious plant-based treats for you to enjoy. Think fresh, vibrant bites that leave you feeling satisfied without the post-snack guilt.
- Specialty Teas: Whether you’re a tea aficionado or just love a good cup, our selection of hot teas is here to keep you warm and cozy throughout the event. Each blend has been chosen to complement the soothing, restorative vibe of the day.
- The Book!: Everyone leaves with a copy of Wellness on the Weekly! 52 Fun Prompts For Mindfulness, Movements, and a Whole Lot Less Stress! You'll also have the opportunity to meet the author and have your copy signed.
- A treat: The little somethin-somethin from Miss Melissa. It's a surprise and something new this culinary creator has been working on.
