Come celebrate the flavors of summer, learn new recipes using seasonal veggies/herbs and gather around a shared table set with delicious, healthy, budget-friendly food! We are thrilled to welcome Chef Michael Taeuber, who will lead us as we celebrate the flavors of the season. Join us as we:
Sip ~ A fresh, festive, non-alcoholic beverage as we gather to celebrate summer.
Sample ~ Learn how to make two simple, budget-wise, summer-friendly recipes – and then taste what our guest chef creates! Michael will demo creation of hummus and a seasonal gazpacho.
We’ll sample the hummus, accompanied by Ancestral Ovens bread and other crudities. Herb butter will also available to spread on the locally-produced loaves. And we’ll sample a small cup of the gazpacho soup, too!
Savor~ We’ll savor more flavors as we share lunch together! Choose from a ham, turkey or hummus sandwich — served with a side of chips and a dessert treat.
About Chef Michael Taeuber~ Michael Taeuber is a graduate of the Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, a Le Cordon Bleu school. There he earned an Associate in Arts degree in Culinary Arts and a Certificate in Pastry. He's worked in several fine dining restaurants in the Chicago area, culminating in two Michelin rated restaurants. Also joining us and providing leadership as we learn and taste: sANDRA Taeuber!
