About this Event

Come and join me for the first Sip, Paint & Unwind: Tides & Textures, a relaxed 2½-hour ocean-inspired painting experience with Art by Kanika Sharma.

There’s something calming about the colours and movement of the ocean, which is why it has inspired so much of my own work. This workshop is a chance to slow down, switch off for a while and enjoy the therapeutic feeling of putting paint onto canvas.

This isn’t about painting a realistic coastal scene or everyone copying the same picture. We’ll take inspiration from the colours, movement, layers and feeling of the sea to create something abstract and completely your own.

You can bring a photograph of the sea, a sunset or a special holiday memory for inspiration, or choose from the images I’ll have ready on the day.

I’ll guide you through choosing your colours, building layers and adding texture, while giving you the freedom to see where your painting takes you. You don’t need any painting experience. Just come along, have a drink and enjoy getting creative.
