Join us for an evening on the wheel, learn essential potters' techniques, and have some serious fun along the way.Ready to get your hands messy and make something totally unique? Our amazing potters are hosting a super fun evening to teach you the art of the pottery wheel! You’ll learn how to spin, sculpt, and shape a one-of-a-kind piece—think cute little bowls, vases and dishes!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll show you all the basics you need to get started on the wheel, then it’s all about practicing your new skills and creating something you can be proud of. The best part? You’ll get to take home a keepsake that’s full of personality and made by YOU. How cool is that?!
What’s included in this creative sesh:
-All the tools, clay, and equipment you need to work your magic
-Firing and glazing for 2 pieces (so your creations will be ready to last forever!)
-Step-by-step guidance from one of Perth’s best ceramicists—seriously, you’re in great hands
-Spritz on arrival & wine throughout
-A delicious grazing board to snack on while you work
-Loose-leaf tea, coffee, and juice for when you need a break
What to bring: Pottery is a little messy (but sooo worth it), so throw on some old clothes and covered shoes. Don’t worry—we’ve got aprons for you on the night, so you’ll still look fab while you work.
Important info:
After the workshop, your pieces will be bisque-fired, clear glazed, and glaze-fired, then ready for you to pick up in 6-8 weeks. If you’re feeling super creative and make more than two items, no problem! You can pay a small fee to have extra pieces fired and glazed.
Just a heads-up: the pottery wheel can be a little tricky, and sometimes your first creation might not turn out exactly how you imagined—but that’s all part of the fun! Our expert will be there to guide you, and we promise you’ll leave with something special. Oh, and we’ll cover all the ceramic do’s and don’ts before you start, so you’re fully prepared!
This workshop is unlike any other and is not to be missed!
