Call it a girls’ mystery night out, call it research, call it self-care, whatever you like: we’re hosting a Sip & Sign with Grand Rapids author Marissa Malson, and it’s exactly the kind of evening your calendar needs after a St. Paddy parade.This is a relaxed, wine-tasting-style hang where sparkling drinks flow, books get signed, and conversation may move from clever mysteries to how books actually make it into the world. The novel’s on-page drink of choice is a Crémant from Alsace, but we’ll have a few bottles of bubbles (both boozy and not) open so you can bring your curiosity and your reading friends.
Marissa’s debut mystery, The Not So Average Life of Average Jane, delivers smart twists and big “how did she pull that off?” energy, perfect for readers who like their crime with wit, their heroines capable, and their plots fast. Between sips, you’ll have the chance to chat with Marissa about writing a first novel, navigating publishing, marketing a book without losing your mind, and what comes next (spoiler: a sequel is on the way).
