About this Event
Have you ever walked into a room and felt like something got lost on the way — not your words, but yourself?
That is what it means to live between cultures. And it is more common than anyone admits.
Sip & Share: The Immigrant Experience is an intimate community gathering for immigrants, third culture people, globally mobile professionals, and the people who love them. A space where real stories are told, real laughter happens, and real community is built — no translation required. Join us in person for a relaxed evening where we dive into the ins and outs of being an immigrant.
Whether you came from Jamaica or Russia, Colombia or the Philippines, Nigeria or Germany, Ireland or Ghana — if you have ever navigated life between two worlds, felt the tension of belonging to both and neither, or carried the invisible weight of building a life in a country that wasn't where you began — this gathering is for you.
Don’t miss out on this unique chance to explore new perspectives and make friends!
What to expect:
🎤 The Faux Pas Icebreaker — We open with laughter, recognition, and the moment you finally get to say out loud what you have been living silently.
🎤 The Panel — Four voices. Two women. Two men. Multiple cultures. One honest conversation about the immigrant experience nobody else is having.
🍽 Cultural Food Experience — Jamaican. Caribbean. Latin. Asian. Because in our cultures, feeding people is how we say welcome.
💬 Small Group Conversations — The real breakthroughs happen at the table, not on the stage.
✨ Closing Ceremony — You will leave with something you came without.
