Kick off the holiday season Ballston-style!

Join Ballston BID and Monumental Sports & Entertainment for a cheerful morning above the ice for our Annual Sip & Jingle, featuring festive treats, exclusive rink-side views of a live Washington Capitals practice, and plenty of seasonal surprises.

When: Thursday, December 11, 2025 | 9:00–11:00 AM
Where: MedStar Capitals Iceplex (Balcony, Ballston Quarter 8th floor)
Hosted by: Ballston BID in partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment
Cost: Free & open to the employees of Ballston RSVP required (limited capacity)

• Live Capitals practice viewing from the balcony (approx. 10:30–11:30 AM)
• Meet Slapshot, the fan-favorite mascot, perfect for festive photo ops!
• On-site photo booth with instant prints to take home
• Seasonal breakfast bites & sips, enjoy coffee, tea, and holiday-inspired treats
• Raffle prizes & light swag to spread some extra cheer

• $1 parking (≤3 hrs) in the Ballston Quarter Garage
• Metro: Ballston-MU Station, just steps away
• Enter via the public rink entrance and take the elevator to the 8th floor

Help us share the magic of the season! We’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys on behalf of Arlington County Police Department, to brighten the holidays for children in need. If you’re able, bring a gift and make a child’s season a little more joyful.. A drop box will be available onsite during the event.
