Sip & Create: Glass Mosaic & Wine Workshop

Born and raised in Naples, Italy, Tiziana is an artist and scenic painter whose work bridges the worlds of fine art and theatrical design. From an early age, she was captivated by the dramatic beauty of Naples—its architecture, rich colors, and storytelling traditions—elements that continue to shape her artistic vision today.

Tiziana specializes in using texture to create depth, realism, and emotion in her work. Whether replicating the weathered patina of aged stone, the rich grain of wood, or the ethereal softness of a painted sky, she masterfully manipulates surfaces to enhance visual storytelling. This expertise has made her a sought-after scenic painter in theater, film, opera, and live events.

As a scenic artist, Tiziana has had the opportunity to experiment with many techniques, including marble, wood grain, mosaic, collage, gold leaf, foam carving, acrylics, watercolor, various texturing methods and more. In the picture above is a Dog mosaic from the House of Orpheus where the remains of a real dog were also found

They are among the most distinctive features of Pompeii. Dog mosaics placed at the entrance of peoples' homes, exactly where a modern welcome mat would go. Some even bear a familiar sign: Beware of the dog (cave canem).

I think you can be just as good. I will provide some of the ancient designs that you can change or find inspiration from, but feel free to come with your own ideas. You will have a choice of a mosaic on wood or on plexiglass.
