Book your Gele Tying Experience and get ready for an amazing afternoon celebrating the beauty and tradition of Nigerian and Yoruba culture.

Gele is a traditional Nigerian headwrap, most commonly associated with Yoruba culture. Fabric is carefully folded, wrapped and shaped around the head to create an elegant, structured headpiece.

You can expect an experienced gele-tying artist to walk you through the basics of creating a classic gele style, step-by-step. Then it’s your turn to put what you’ve learned into action as you practise tying gele on a friend!

We will have enough gele fabric for everyone, although if you would like to bring your own, you can!

And of course, what’s a gele session without good vibes? Drinks will be flowing throughout, so come ready to learn, laugh and have a great time.
