In November, Sioux Falls will host the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling. The nation’s top curling teams will compete at the Denny Sanford Premier Center for a chance to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina 2026.
Sioux Falls Sports Authority Executive Director and Downtown Rotarian Thomas Lee will moderate a panel previewing the upcoming trials, and discuss the sport’s rising popularity and promising future in Sioux Falls and beyond. Panelists will include Dean Gemmell, CEO, USA Curling, Dustin Hansen, Past President, Sioux Falls Curling, and an athlete participating in the competition to be named at a later date.
The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Grilled fish filet, cheesy hashbrown casserole, corn, & salad.
The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
