SINKSBrněnské noise-rockové trio sinks má na kontě tři EP a květnové eponymní album pro ostravský label Korobushka Records. První písní počínaje a poslední konče balancuje mezi frustrací, smutkem, něhou, nadějí a absolutní beznadějí. Spleť gradací, metafor, zvukových stěn a bez servítek vykřičených úzkostí rozplétá a zase splétá vše, co do existence členů skupiny zasahuje. O nahrávání a mix se postaral rakouský producent Julian Werl aka Nichi Mlebom.

TRUE FIR
Vlídně nevlídná kytarovka členů Pacino, Hissing Fauna a dalších kapel jakoby ne a ne setřást stigma devadesátek a grunge. I když od debutové desky značně změnili sestavu, jejich dedikace 90s hudbě, hlasitým, melodickým a trochu pokrouceným kytarám a melancholii přesto nezevšedněla, spíš naopak. Esenciální dad-core? Kašlete na nálepky, Second Guessing je chutný destilát Pavement, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr. Sonic Youth a dalších.

NICHI MLEBOM
Rakouský hudebník Julian Werl se v předloňském roce přestěhoval do Brna a rychle se stal součástí tamní alternativní scény. Krom produkování a nahrávání jiných skupin také spolupracoval na svých dvou singlech s baskytaristkou brněnské kapely sinks Vendulou Pukyšovou. Debutové album jeho současné pseudopopové lo-fi kytarovky Nichi Mlebom vyšlo stejně jako deska sinks na Korobushka Records a aby toho nebylo málo, skupinu s ním tvoří právě 2/3 sinks Vendula a Antonín a současný bubeník True Fir Peter Kušnírik.

SINKS
The Brno noise-rock trio Sinks has released three EPs and an eponymous album for the Ostrava label Korobushka Records in May. Starting with the first song and ending with the last one, they balance between frustration, sadness, tenderness, hope and absolute hopelessness. A tangle of gradations, metaphors, walls of sound and unceremoniously shouted anguish unravels and reweaves everything that interferes with the existence of the band members. Recording and mixing was handled by Austrian producer Julian Werl aka Nichi Mlebom.

TRUE FIR
The affably unkind guitar work of members of Pacino, Hissing Fauna and other bands seemingly unable to shake the stigma of 90s grunge. Although they've changed their line-up considerably since their debut album, their dedication to 90s music, loud, melodic and slightly twisted guitars and melancholy hasn't faded, quite the opposite. Essential dad-core? Screw the labels, Second Guessing is a tasty distillation of Pavement, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr. Sonic Youth and others.

NICHI MLEBOM
Austrian musician Julian Werl moved to Brno last year and quickly became part of the local alternative scene. As well as producing and recording other bands, he has also collaborated on two singles with Vendula Pukyšová, bassist of the Brno band Sinks. The debut album of his contemporary pseudo-pop lo-fi guitar band Nichi Mlebom was released on Korobushka Records, as was the Sinks album, and to make matters worse, the band with him consists of 2/3 of Sinks Vendula and Antonín and current True Fir drummer Peter Kušnírik.
