After sold-out shows at Philly Theatre Week, Single Woman: Work In Progress is on the road and coming to Mettlesome Theater in Durham. 

Single Woman is an original solo comedy show about a very unoriginal topic: Dating. In the absence of a romantic relationship, the next best thing is the attention of a rapt audience. For as long as Tess has been single (forever), the best part of dates has been telling stories about them after. Now she’s ready to share them with everyone else [with names redacted]. 

Over this 75-minute show, Tess weaves personal storytelling and audience participation about what it means to be 35, ready to mingle, and obsessed with finding meaning in everything. Part comedy show, part catharsis, and part singles event (for Tess). For anyone 18+ who has wondered why dating is so weird. Bring your single straight male friends. Seriously. By the way, it’s not a work in progress. The single woman IS the work in progress, y’know?
