Spirituals and gospel music are much more than pleasing songs to listen to; they are powerful representations of the triumphant spirit and faith that have defined African-American music and people. Dr. Kathy Bullock takes the audience on a musical journey from West Africa, through the middle passage, to the North American shores where the African-American culture was forged. Through songs, stories and performance, this participatory program lets the audience experience the beauty, joy and power of this music and culture

• NOTE: This performance takes place in the First Presbyterian CHAPEL which is accessible through Mill Street entrance.
• Parking is available at First Pres lot on Mill Street
• Comfortable, yet respectful clothing and shoes are recommended
• 80 seats available
• Event is FREE but registration is requested
• Doors open 30 minutes before performance start time
• As always, donations are welcome to keep the Festival going!
