“Mix voice” is one of the most confusing terms in singing.
About this Event

Some singers think it’s a mysterious register.

Others assume it means simply singing softer.

In reality, mix voice is a coordination strategy that allows the voice to move smoothly

between registers.

In this Singer’s Circle we explore how the voice balances resonance and vocal fold behavior

across the range.

During the evening we will explore:

• why chest voice often gets pulled too high

• how resonance shifts affect vocal balance

• how the middle range reorganizes when coordination improves

• how to recognize when the voice finds balance

Singer’s Circle invites singers to observe their voice with curiosity rather than judgment.

Because often the voice becomes clearer the moment we stop forcing it to behave.
