Sinfonia 2: Four Seasons

Begin your year with a journey through the Four Seasons led by acclaimed violinist Andrew Wan, January 9, 2027, at 7:30pm at the D. F. Cook Recital Hall. Presented by Quidi Vidi Brewery as part of the NSO's Sinfonia Series.
This program moves through the four seasons by placing Antonio Vivaldi’s well known violin concertos alongside Max Richter’s modern reimagining. Hearing them side by side highlights how the same seasonal ideas can feel vivid, dramatic, or quietly reflective depending on the musical language.
Interwoven throughout are selections from The Irish Seasons by Ailbhe McDonagh, offering another perspective on spring, summer, autumn, and winter. These pieces add a contemporary voice rooted in Irish musical character, creating contrast while keeping the seasonal thread clear.
Tickets are available at the ACC Box Office (709-729-3900), online at www.artsandculturecentre.com and at the door.
Four Seasons is a part of our Gold Subscription, Sinfonia Series Subscription, and is a choice in our Silver Subscription.
