Sims Bayou Greenway and FM Law Park Connector Trail Ribbon Cutting

Join Houston Parks Board along with its project partners and funders at Law Park to celebrate the completion of construction on three new greenways and trails! Law Park is located at 6200 Scarlet, Houston, TX 77033.

Two new segments of Sims Bayou Greenway, from Stuart Park to FM Law Park and from FM Law Park to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, mark the last remaining Bayou Greenways to be complete along Sims Bayou, connecting communities along the way for a grand total of over 20 miles.

Special thanks to Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis for being a primary funder of this project, contributing $1.96 million to the construction costs of the segment between FM Law Park and MLK Jr. Boulevard.

A new 1.3-mile trail along a CenterPoint easement is also opening between FM Law Park and Doulton Drive, which will provide a safe connection between homes, FM Law Park, and the newly completed Sims Bayou Greenway.

Funders for this project include TIRZ 8/Gulfgate Redevelopment Authority, which contributed $1.41 million, and Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis, who contributed $125,000 towards the construction costs.
