About this Event
Pair together scraps both large and small to make a unique garment! Learn to sew a shirt in this workshop with fiber artist Sonya Philip. Students will learn how to cut pattern pieces as well as methods for combining fabric pieces. The neckline is sewn with a simple facing. A PDF version of the pattern, in nine sizes, will be provided to print and assemble.
This is not a beginning sewing class, you will need to have some previous experience using a sewing machine.
Machines will be provided but if you would like to bring your own, you are welcome to!
Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The break down is as follows:

About Sonya Phillip
Sonya Philip is an artist, designer and teacher. Four years ago, Sonya started 100 Acts of Sewing, making dresses while documenting the process. Since then she has made it her mission to convince people to sew their own clothes. When not covered in bits of thread, she can be found knitting or baking. Sonya lives in San Francisco with her family.
