Simmcat is the project of visual artist and songwriter Simona Catalani, whose music blends natural melancholy with dream-like imagery between sound and visual art.
After the intimate bedroom-pop EP Soy Milk (2020), she released the full-length I Thought I Was Dreaming (2023), expanding into shimmering dream-pop reminiscent of Mazzy Star.
Her latest album, I Heard She Lost You—recorded in San Francisco and released in March 2025 — brought her to SXSW in Austin, where she performed at acclaimed showcases including The Line
of Best Fit.
Since then, Simmcat has been touring across Italy, the UK, and Europe, bringing her ethereal songs to stages both intimate and experimental.
