Simbang Gabi 2024 This year marks the 25th year anniversary of Simbang Gabi in our Northern Lake County cluster. Simbang Gabi is a unique Filipino tradition of celebrating nine-day novena of Marian masses before Christmas and it has become a source of joy and anticipation for several parishes in Lake and Cook counties.
Through Simbang Gabi, the participating churches of Vicariate I-A/B/C offer the faithful a deepening of spiritual experience and an opportunity to come together in celebrating our Catholic faith and in evangelization. St. Therese of Little Flower Parish will host the last day of these novena masses on Dec. 23, 2024 (Monday) at 7:00 PM at the St. Dismas church. This parish event is not just a “Filipino event” but for all who make up our parish faith community. Everyone, especially the whole family, is cordially invited to this cherished tradition.
As in all church functions, help is always needed. I encourage you to offer your support with your time, talent, and treasure.
