About this Event
Let your creative juices sparkle this holiday season by crafting a one-of-a-kind miniature Christmas tree pendants in sterling silver! This hands-on class will guide you through the entire process of transforming raw metal sheet and wire into a beautiful, silver Christmas trees, perfect for gifting or to keep as your own stunning holiday accessories. You will be taught how to create up to three different trees, time and skill level depending.
In this class, you will learn:
- How to create a Christmas tree shape of wire and decorate it with crystal beads.
- How to shape bits of scrap wire and piece them together for an abstract Christmas tree.
- How to create a hollow form Christmas tree shape.
**Please Note: STUDENT MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN METAL or purchase from instructor. Price will be determined by the spot value on the day of the class.
Basic experience in metalsmithing preferred—this class is designed for advanced beginner to intermediate skill levels. Our expert instructor will provide personalized guidance for your project. By the end of the class, you'll leave with one to three beautiful, handmade silver Christmas trees to treasure for years to come.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate - basic torch soldering experience preferred

Fee: $150 **PLUS METAL (all materials provided except metal, students may bring their own or purchase from the instructor.)
Required silver:
- 1" x 2" 22 or 24 gauge sterling silver sheet
- 1-2' 16 gauge sterling silver round wire (dead soft or half hard)
- 1" sterling silver patterned wire
Students will be provided with all tools and consumable materials required for use during class, but students are welcome to bring their own personal hand tools.
FAVO - Faith Arts Village Orlando - is located at 221 E. Colonial Dr. in downtown Orlando, just a few blocks east of I-4. Put the address 718 Highland Ave. into your GPS to get to the first parking lot. To enter the facility, turn north on Highland from Colonial, there is a stoplight, and enter the second driveway on the left, through a black fence. You will see a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church, FAVO Art Studios". Proceed through the parking lot to the far right and rear and on through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. You will see an L-shaped building with colorful doors - that's us! I am studio 237, second from the end upstairs on the right. Look for the moons!
