Silver Springs Adventure

We will meet at the kayak launch area in Silver Springs State Park and do an out and back paddle. We will take the beautiful and scenic Fort King Trail. There are many remnants of the Jungle Cruise attraction that was popular in the 1930's. Once we exit the trail we will paddle a short distance downstream, turn around and paddle back to the launch. The Silver River is considered one of Florida's most scenic waterways.

Along the way you may see manatees, alligators, birds, turtles, fish and the Resus Macaque monkeys. You will also take in the serenity of the natural world around you. Once the paddle is completed you can go into the state park, find a shady spot and have a picnic lunch or walk the scenic paths. The fee includes your entrance to the park and launch fees.
