Silver Springs - Often called the gateway to the Ocala National Forest, this vibrantly clear and beautiful spring is one of the largest artesian springs known to man.

Florida’s first tourist attraction features one of the largest artesian springs in the world. We will be paddling on top of the crystal springs that have been inviting admirers for decades and sustaining a wealth of aquatic life.

The tour includes board or kayak (your choice) paddle, life preserver, safety instruction, entrance into the park and launch fees. This cost also includes car pool from exit point and back to vehicle. This is a 5 mile paddle that flows down the river.

****We will first meet at Ray wayside park (end point). Leave vehicles here then carpool to the spring head (starting point). $5 to park cash only at Ray wayside (not included) ****

Along the river we will discover plentiful fish life, several springs, native plant life, Reese monkeys, alligators, manatees and native Florida birds.

In the winter the manatee are more plentiful at the springs we should see several ?
