Silver Jubilee: Celebrating the Founders | UNITYFest 2023

Thu Feb 02 2023 at 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm

Buena Vista Theater, UTSA Downtown Campus | San Antonio, TX

Join MBAW founders and friends to celebrate 25 years of music and unity!
About this Event

Musical Bridges Around the World’s first performers were members of CEO Anya Grokhovski’s family, students, and friends. This concert brings them together again, as Anya takes the stage with pianist Valeri Grokhovski, bassist Zlatan Redzic, violinist Mark Cheikhet, pianist Elena Portnaya, Agarita Chamber Ensemble, and mezzo-soprano Veronica Williams. All generations of musicians will unite in celebrating, reuniting, and contributing to a shared peace that comes through music.

  • 6:30 PM - Doors/seating opens for any waitlisted individuals or walk-ins (who can be registered at the door). Seating is unassigned.
  • 7 PM - Performance starts.

Tickets & Seating

500 tickets will be available for this event free to register starting 1 January 2023, and all others will be subject to waitlist.

The Buena Vista Theater holds 300 people and the adjacent Aula Canaria Lecture Hall will be open during the event to hold an additional 200 people to watch the concert live on screen. Seating will occur as listed in the schedule above, with the attendees filling the Buena Vista Theater first and the Aula Canaria afterwards.

About Waitlist

Once ticket registration fills up to 500, all others will be subject to join a waitlist. MBAW will check in with ticket holders multiple times leading up to the concert if they are still coming. Any cancellations will open ticket registration to those on the waitlist.

Because it is a free event, MBAW will open available seating to anyone still on the waitlist (and any walk-ins) at 6:30 PM, 30 minutes before the performance. Seating is unassigned.

  • The concert will be in the Buena Vista Theater at the UTSA Downtown Campus on 501 W. César Chávez Blvd, San Antonio, Texas 78207.
