Silo After Dark

An evening at Silo Park, watching the light change over the working harbour.

We're meeting at Silo Park in Wynyard Quarter while there's still light on the water, watching the sun go down behind the wharves and the working harbour beyond it. The silos themselves give the whole scene a shape nothing else on the calendar has — closer in, more industrial, a different kind of frame to work with.

As the light drops we'll stay through dusk, watching Wynyard Quarter's own lights come up around us — the silos lit from below, the restaurants and bars along the waterfront, and the city skyline filling in behind it all. Bring a tripod if you've got one, this is a long-exposure night.

No theme, no pressure. You'll be walking alongside a friendly, easygoing group of photographers, all looking at the same stretch of waterfront and seeing something slightly different in it.
