Unlock your potential as an Aerial Silks instructor with our comprehensive 21-hour weekend teacher training. This immersive course is designed for those eager to teach aerial silks, whether you're looking to start a career in aerial arts or enhance your existing teaching practice.Over the weekend, you'll dive into the essential elements of aerial silks instruction, including:
Anatomy and Physiology: Understand the body’s mechanics, muscle engagement, and common injuries related to aerial silks. Learn how to guide your students safely and effectively through poses.
Warm-up and Cool-down Techniques: Master the art of preparing and recovering the body for aerial silks practice. Learn effective stretches and mobility drills to prevent injury and promote flexibility.
Cueing Techniques: Develop your communication skills to provide clear, concise, and motivational instructions that empower your students to perform with confidence.
Rigging and Safety: Gain foundational knowledge of proper rigging, equipment checks, and safety protocols to ensure a secure and safe training environment for your students.
Teaching Beginner Poses: Walk through foundational silks poses, learning how to break down the movements and sequences for students of all levels. Practice guiding others in these beginner poses with precision.
Effective Demonstrations and Spotting: Learn how to demonstrate poses effectively and safely, as well as how to spot your students during their training. Understanding when and how to spot is key to ensuring students' success and preventing injury.
By the end of the weekend, you’ll feel confident in your ability to lead a class, provide constructive feedback, and create a supportive, encouraging environment for your students. Whether you're teaching aerial silks for the first time or refining your skills, this teacher training will provide the tools and knowledge you need to succeed.
Pre-requisite: Must have at least one year of Silks practice and/or teaching other aerial modalities
2026 Training Schedule:
Friday February 27, 5 PM - 8 PM
Saturday February 28, 9 AM - 6 PM
Sunday March 1, 9 AM - 6 PM
A 1-hr zoom session prior to training TBD
1 community practice class
Cost $800
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.
Pay in FULL $50 OFF = $750
Payment plan options:
$800 with 4 payments
$200 deposit due asap to reserve spot. (Non-refundable)
3 remaining payments $200 due by 2/21/26.
